Meet Dr. Rehak
Dr. Rehak is a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He earned his
Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa in 1977 after
receiving his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State
University. He spent two years of postgraduate
study in Biomedical Engineering during which he developed an interest in
dentistry. Dr Rehak presently operates a General Dentistry Practice in Cedar
Rapids.
Dr. Rehak is committed to lifelong training as a way to offer his patients the best dental care possible. He has advanced training in such areas as TMJ (jaw joint) function, orthodontics (using braces, functional appliances, and Invisalign), and Lumineers, the no pain, no shot veneers. Also included in his many hours of continuing education are Implant Restoration, Cosmetic Dentistry, Infection Control and state of the art dental materials. Dr Rehak provides his patients with gentle dentistry that combines the harmony of function with beautiful esthetics.
Dr. Rehak has been featured in the Cedar Rapids Gazette on the subject of TMJ treatment and the Anterior Discluding Dental Appliance, which he designed and used in the 1980’s. He now uses the very popular NTI appliance which functions in the same way, but can be fitted in the office in just one visit without additional lab fees. (See the NTI at www.nti-tss.com.)
Dr. Rehak is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Orthodontic Society, the American Association of Functional Orthodontists, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Iowa Dental Association, the University District Dental Society, and the Linn County Dental Society.
Dr. Rehak is active in the community
as well, serving as a member of the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce, St. Pius
Church, the Xavier High School Booster Club and the Xavier High School Silver
Club. He is very proud of his four wonderful children, Brad, Becki, Russ, and
Michelle. When not in the office, you may find
Dr. Rehak golfing, playing tennis, walking, bicycling, reading, or watching
sports.
